Nick first began teaching online back in 2011, giving him almost a decade of experience in online teaching alone, not to mention his vast experience in schools around the UK and Europe. Nick loves to teach and says he finds it just as enjoyable to teach online as he does in a classroom. Nick has really honed his ability to make lessons fun and engaging through different media and activities. One of the main motivations behind his passion for teaching, is that joyous ‘lightbulb moment’ students have, when finally understanding something that has been puzzling them for some time. For Nick, this is what makes teaching so rewarding.
Nick has a passion for languages, and loves to learn new ones, setting himself challenges, such as learning Mandarin Chinese. In his past career, as an International Sales Director, Nick was able to travel all over Europe and the Middle East, giving him ample opportunities to improve his language skills as well as learning about different cultures around the world.
Outside of languages and teaching, Nick has an abiding interest in French wine, especially wine from the Burgundy region of France, which was carefully nurtured during the five years he worked in Paris. Nick loves spending time with his three grandchildren – soon to be four – and his recently acquired long-haired chihuahua, Coco. Although small, she is headstrong and stubborn and currently presents more challenges than online teaching!
